Councils come together to launch new business start-up programme

18 Dec 2017
Belfast City Council and Derry and Strabane District Council have joined forces to launch a new programme designed to help budding business start-ups take the next steps on the ladder to success.

The City Start-Up programme is an initiative to provide an enhanced level of support to individuals in either council area who have recently completed the ‘Go For It programme.

On completion of ‘Go For It’, participants with businesses in the fashion, food, retail and tourism sectors, with the potential to start trading within six months, will be offered one-to one-mentoring, as well as access to workshops and tailored incentives which will provide them with the skills and capabilities to further develop their businesses beyond the support they have already received.

More information on the City Start-Up programme can be found at www.belfastcity.gov.uk/businessinfo.
