Council proposes to provide temporary Gaelic facilities at Stranmillis
3 Jan 2018
Belfast City Council is proposing to provide temporary facilities for playing Gaelic at Stranmillis Embankment.
It is proposed that posts will be erected on land at the bottom of Botanic Gardens, adjacent to the Embankment, to allow for the playing of junior games for a temporary period until the end of September. The move is to compensate for the loss of facilities during work being undertaken at Cherryvale Playing Fields.
A drop-in information session will be held at St Bartholomew’s Church of Ireland, on the Stranmillis Road, next Tuesday (9 January), from 4pm – 7.30pm, to allow local residents to share any views on the proposal.
