• Volunteer Of The Year;
• Team Of The Year, in both junior and senior categories;
• Sports Personality Of The Year, in both junior and senior categories;
• Sporting Hall Of Fame;
• Pathway To Clubs; and
• Healthy Lifestyle.

Closing date for nominations is 19 February and the awards ceremony will be held on Friday 23 March.

Meanwhile, Belfast City Council has also launched its annual ‘Find A Sports Star’ programme, which aims to identify the potential elite athletes – and possible Sports Awards winners – of the future. Now in its second year, this initiative is supported by GLL and delivered in partnership with Commonwealth Games NI.

Full details on how to become involved in this latter initiative can be found at www.belfastcity.gov.uk/findasportsstar.
