Anti-litter

Poster advertising Littering - it's not a good look campaign We want to make Belfast a cleaner and brighter place to live or visit by encouraging people to dispose of their litter properly.

Our anti-litter campaign is now in its seventh year. Research shows it's had a very positive impact on littering behaviour - in fact, the number of people who admit to dropping rubbish has fallen by 11 per cent.

Don't forget - if you are caught littering, you can be fined £50.

Littering - it's not a good look

Our current anti-litter campaign focuses on gum and smoking-related litter.

To promote its message, a touch of Hollywood glamour came to Belfast City Hall on Wednesday 23 June with the creation of a mini movie set.
This latest phase of the campaign is backed up by retro 'pop art'-styled advertising.

Radio advertisements

Our current radio advertisements show how others view those who litter and remind people what a disgusting habit it is. They also stress to offenders that they will receive a £50 fine if they litter in Belfast.
