Grime Scene Investigation

Grime Scene Investigation logo Forensic teams were recently called in to Belfast to deal with a bad case of chewing gum litter – the serious ‘grimewave’ that is gripping the city.

We called in the Grime Scene Investigation team to highlight our current Litter, get a grip campaign.
The campaign targets the usual suspects in a new clampdown on major offenders like chewing gum and cigarette butts.

Investigators, speaking from the scene of the 'grime' in Donegall Square West, reported that
between 80 and 90 per cent of chewing gum is not thrown in bins.

The team also warned that anyone caught dropping litter on the street faces a £50 fine.
