Reporting antisocial behaviour
If you are bothered by antisocial behaviour (ASB), there are a range of organisations who can help.Different agencies have different responsibilities and powers to address ASB.
These include:
Northern Ireland Housing Executive
The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) can help if the person carrying out the behaviour is a tenant.They have a strict policy for dealing with ASB and complaints can be made anonymously.

Housing associations
Housing associations may be able to help if the person carrying out the behaviour is a tenant.Eviction is usually a last resort and housing associations will normally use mediation or an injunction to solve the problem.

Environmental health
Our environmental health team can help if you are having problems with:- noise
- rubbish
- pests
- dogs.

Social services
If your complaint concerns children, older people or those with a mental illness, social services may be able to help you.Call the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust on 028 9056 5656 for details of agencies in your area.
Northern Ireland Ombudsman
If you are not satisfied that your complaint has been resolved by the relevant agency, you can contact the Northern Ireland Ombudsman's office.Call 0800 343424 for more information.
Private landlords
If the person you want to make a complaint against is a private tenant, their landlord may be able to take out an injunction against their tenant.However, they have to go to court and prove that the tenant's behaviour poses a 'significant risk of harm' to others.
