Belfast in Bloom is part of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board's Ulster in Bloom scheme, which runs throughout Northern Ireland.
It encourages residents and businesses to make Belfast as attractive as possible by using flowers creatively.
In August 2008, Belfast took part in the prestigious Britain in Bloom competition for the first time, picking up a silver medal in the large city category.
