Belfast Zoological Gardens
Belfast Zoo is one of the top attractions in Northern Ireland, receiving more than 295,000 visitors a year.
Located in north Belfast, the zoo's 55 acre site is home to more than 1,200 animals and 140 species. Many of our animals are under threat in their natural habitat.
Some of the animals you can see include:
- Moloch gibbons (critically endangered)
- Barbary lions (extinct in the wild)
- Javan brown langurs (endangered)
- eastern bongos (endangered)
- western lowland gorillas (critically endangered).
