Help with your bin collection
If you're unable to leave your bin out for collection, and have no-one to do it for you, our staff can help. You can apply for our free assisted bin lift service.We offer an assisted bin lift service where your wheeled bin is taken from your property, emptied into the bin lorry by our waste collection staff and then returned to your home.
This service is provided free of charge to those people who are unable to leave their bin out for collection and have no-one else available to do it for them.
Applying for an assisted bin lift
The process for applying for an assisted lift can take up to four weeks.- Call us on 028 9027 0230 or email refusecollection@belfastcity.gov.uk
- We'll send you a registration form.
- You complete the form.
- Get a health care professional to stamp or sign the form to prove that you are unable to leave your bin out for collection.
- Return the completed stamped or signed form to us.
- When we receive your form we'll assess your request and decide whether you are eligible for an assisted bin lift.
- If you are eligible, we'll add you to our assisted bin lift register and notify you in writing.
