Bin collections

Always leave your bin out by 7am, and keep it out until 8pm, to make sure it is collected.

You must leave it at your bin collection point to make sure we can collect it.

Please remember that we can't collect over-filled bins so make sure the lid of your bin closes properly and do not leave waste outside of your bin as we can't collect this.

Holiday bin collections

You can check here to see when your bin will be collected during bank and public holidays, as well as Christmas and New Year.

Depending on where you live, and whether you have weekly or fortnightly bin collection patterns, you will have different holiday collections.

Household collection patterns are separated into two categories:
  1. Households with a weekly black bin collection service - These households have a black bin for household waste and a kerbside recycling box. Both the black bin and kerbside box are collected weekly.

  2. Households with a fortnightly black bin collection service - These households normally have blue or brown recycling bins (or both). This category also includes households who have a kerbside recycling box and a weekly food waste collection service (green food bin).
If any of your bins are due to be collected on a holiday, please check the table below to find out when it will be collected. These dates are for black, blue and brown bins, and green food waste bins.
