Bins and rubbish collections

We collect more than 2,500 tonnes of waste each week from households throughout Belfast.

Most of it is disposed in black, blue or brown bins, but some is also collected in kerbside recycling boxes, food caddies and home composters.

In this section, you can check what to put in each bin, as well as holiday bin collection times and information about how to order a bin.

Holiday bin collections

Please remember to leave your bin out by 7am, and keep it out until 8pm, to make sure it is collected.
