Kerbside recycling boxes
Many households in Belfast have kerbside boxes for recycling. These are instead of a blue bin and, in addition to, your black bin which is used for general waste not suitable for recycling.
Depending on where you live, you may also have a food waste caddy
We sub-contract the collection of the 55,000 kerbside recycling boxes in Belfast to a company called Bryson Recycling
Bryson Recycling supply the kerbside recycling boxes to homes, and collect and sort all recyclable materials from these boxes, so you may notice a Bryson Recycling vehicle and staff in your area on collection days. They also distribute regular newsletters on the scheme to help residents make best use of the scheme, or to inform them of changes.
We have a close relationship with Bryson Recycling and want to make sure that residents get the best kerbside boxes service possible. If you have any comments, complaints, queries or compliments on your kerbside recycling service you can direct them to us on 0800 032 8100 or wastemanagement@belfastcity.gov.uk
