Boost membership
With our Boost annual or monthly memberships, you get access to a full range of member benefits in our leisure centres.
Member benefits:
- unlimited use of fitness suite, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa, badminton, squash, table tennis, climbing wall and tennis
- free access to all council-run classes, excluding tennis and climbing classes(inexperienced climbers must attend a six week induction class at an additional charge)
- free access to Make a Splash swimming lessons (limited to one course of lessons at a time)
- free access to the Laser Zone
- 50% discount on weekly holiday sports camps.
Boost re-registration
We’re upgrading our electronic membership and booking system. This means if you're an existing Boost member, you will need to re-register your details.Prices

Booking benefits
All monthly and annual Boost memberships entitle you to book activities in person or by phone up to seven days in advance.You need to pay for booked activities, that are not included in your membership, up front at the time you make a booking but this will help you ensure you don't miss out on your favourite class or activity.
Apply
To apply for a Boost membership at a leisure centre, bring a printed copy of your completed form to any of our leisure centres. You'll also need to bring your supporting documents so that we can validate your membership.You can also pick up a form at any of our leisure centres. Payment terms
As a new direct debit member you will pay a pro rata fee for the first month’s membership. You will also need to pay your second month’s membership up front by cash, cheque, credit or debit card.Your direct debit payment will then be processed on the 1st day of the third month and each month after that. A bank or building society statement is required to verify your details. Direct debit forms are available from any leisure centre reception.
Boost concessions
If you are aged under 17 or over 60, you will receive discounted prices on most activities. You don't need a Boost card if you are under 17 or over 60, but we may ask you for proof of age when you attend.If you are in full-time education or receiving certain types of means-tested or associated benefits, you will also receive discounted prices on most activities.
You do need a Boost card and should complete an application form.
Your card will be proof that you are entitled to discounted prices in our leisure centres and you should bring it with you each time you attend.
You can also check the prices for activities which are not included with your Boost membership.
Requirements
You can apply for Boost by picking up an application form at any of our leisure centres. Or, you can download a Boost application form and once completed, bring it along to any of our centres.You will also need the following documents, depending on your status. If you do not have any photographic ID, two forms of proof of address are needed.
If you wish to pay by direct debit, you will also need to bring a bank or building society statement to verify your details.

This discount is only open to those who receive any of the following:- Income support
- Jobseeker's allowance (income based)
- Tax credits and health exemption certificate (HCEC)
- Housing benefit
- Pension credit
- Employment and support allowance income related (ESAIR)
- National Asylum Support (NAS)
- Training for Success scheme (non means-tested Educational Maintenance Allowance).
- a typed letter from a local Social Security Agency
- the letter must show your name and address
- the letter must be stamped and dated (the date should not be more than six months old).
- a form of photographic identification proof of your address
- a Health Charges Exemption Certificate within date (white card).
- a typed letter from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive
- the letter must show your name and address
- the letter must be stamped and dated (the date should not be more than six months old).
- a typed letter from NAS
- photographic identification (ARC card).
If you are on the Training for Success scheme you will need:
- a typed letter from the training organisation confirming that you are on the programme. This should include the date you started and the date you expect to complete the programme.
