Measure up with Boost
We’re helping Belfast combat obesity by offering a free inch loss programme - Measure up with Boost - at our leisure centres from Monday 8 April until Monday 10 June.
It’s aimed at men with a waist size of over 37 inches and women with a waist size of over 32 inches. Did you know that a larger waistline can increase your risk of heart disease, some cancers and type 2 diabetes?
You can sign up at your local leisure centre. A member of the team will record your waist measurements every week and recommend a healthy and sustainable exercise routine. You’ll also receive free support and guidance so that you can make healthier lifestyle choices. The person who loses the most inches over the ten weeks will win a prize!
The programme is free to join, however normal Boost membership costs or pay-as-you-go prices apply for using leisure centre facilities and exercise classes.
This initiative supported the Public Health Agency through Active Belfast
