Building control

Important information for Building Control customers – summer 2019

Due to operational pressures, we are currently experiencing a delay in processing customer applications.

This is affecting many of our building regulations and licensing services, including:

• the assessment of plans, and amendments to full plans applications
• dealing with building notice and regularisation applications
• processing entertainment and other licensing applications
• pre-submission consultations
• responding to inspection requests

Our staff are working hard to respond to all applications and queries as quickly as possible, and we apologise for this delay in our service and any inconvenience it may cause. We are also undertaking a number of measures, including staff restructuring, in order to improve turnaround times for our customers.

Your patience is appreciated during this busy time.
