Display and pricing of tobacco products
The law on the display and pricing of tobacco products is changing.
From 6 April 2015, tobacco retailers must store all tobacco products out of public sight, and only temporary displays will be allowed in some limited circumstances. In addition, you will only be able to display price lists and price labelling for tobacco products in certain formats.
It will also be illegal to show tobacco products to anyone under 18 years of age.
Anyone found to be displaying tobacco products after 6 April 2015, could face a fine of up to £5000, or imprisonment for up to two years, or both.
