Considerate constructors scheme
Belfast Building Control supports the Considerate Constructors Scheme
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is designed to make builders more aware of the environments in which they work and to improve the image of the construction industry.
The scheme was formally extended to Northern Ireland in September 2005 and launched in Belfast City Hall .
The Scheme is about:
- Encouraging well run construction sites.
- Minimising disturbance, dirt, noise and other negative impacts from construction sites in a neighbourhood.
- Recognising and rewarding a contractor’s commitment to raise standards of site management, safety and environmental awareness.
Schemes are assessed each year for excellence, and winners from the Northern Ireland region will be invited to an annual awards ceremony. Belfast Building Control promotes the Scheme in Belfast and it is administered by Considerate Constructors Scheme .
