Social Care Employment Academy

The Social Care Employment Academy (SCEA) is a new training programme designed in partnership with the NI Social Care Council (NISCC) and employers from across Belfast to help them recruit new staff.

You will have an opportunity to gain an insight into Social Care and identify if you have the skills and personal attributes required for the job! You will also have a guaranteed interview to help you get a job in Social Care, with a range of part-time and full-time vacancies including care assistants, care workers, domiciliary care workers and support workers.

What’s involved?

The programme will also provide sector specific employability skills including:

  • work observational visits
  • application form and CV writing workshops
  • interview skills.
Every participant that completes the Social Care Employment Academy will be guaranteed a job interview for a role that best suits their circumstances.

Eligibility

SCEA is open to anyone living in the Belfast City Council area currently out of work or working less than 16 hours a week. This includes people who are on a current European Social Funded programme.

How to apply for SCEA

If you would like to register your interest in the next SCEA, please fill in this online form and we’ll let you know next steps.
