Social Care Employment Academy
The Social Care Employment Academy (SCEA) is a new training programme designed in partnership with the NI Social Care Council (NISCC) and employers from across Belfast to help them recruit new staff for over 100 jobs.
The academy will cover training for a range of part-time and full-time vacancies roles including care assistants, care workers, domiciliary care workers and support workers.
Participants will take part in a two-week training programme to give them the skills needed to begin a career in health and social care.
The programme will also provide sector specific employability skills including:
- work observational visits
- application form and CV writing workshops, and
- interview skills.
Every participant that completes the SCEA will be guaranteed a job interview for a role that best suits their circumstances.
SCEA is open to anyone living in the Belfast City Council area currently out of work or working less than 16 hours a week. This includes people who are on a current European Social Funded programme.
