About the programme

Collaborate is a business development initiative aimed at helping to stimulate the growth and competitiveness of Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as well as develop local graduate talent.

Local SMEs are offered the full-time services of highly-qualified, highly-motivated graduates who carry out specific projects on their behalf.

For the businesses involved, many have experienced significant benefits including improved production levels and increased business development opportunities.

For the graduates involved, it offers them the chance to gain real experience, make a real contribution to the growth of a local employer and help themselves successfully bridge the gap between academic life and employment. Many of the graduates who have taken part in previous programmes have been offered permanent positions as a result of the scheme.
