Refubishment work

Belfast City Hall reopened to the public on Monday 5 October 2009 after a massive £11 million refurbishment project. The iconic building had been temporarily closed since October 2007.

Renovations to the building included:

replacing heating, mechanical and electrical systems
asbestos removal
drainage improvements
re-roofing
installing computer network systems.

A coffee shop and exhibition area has also been added.
