Recycling service for commercial waste
Our commercial waste recycling service is for all dry recyclables including paper, card, plastic bottles and aluminium cans.These items can all be placed in the same bin. The following bins are available, depending on the amount of storage you need:
660 litre Euro recycling container
This bin is designed to fit through standard doorways and is ideal for large quantities of waste on premises with limited space.
Capacity - 660 litres
Length - 1.260 metres
Width - 0.73 metres
Height - 1.31 metres
1100 litre Euro recycling container
This container is ideal for large quantities of waste and is the equivalent to five standard household bins.
Capacity - 1100 litres
Length - 1.260 metres
Width - 0.99 metres
Height - 1.37 metres
140 and 240 litre recycling slim wheeled bins
These wheeled bins are ideal for offices and smaller businesses and can fit through standard doorways.

All our recycling bins are provided free of charge. For collection prices, call our marketing and sales officer on 028 9027 0735 or email comwaste@belfastcity.gov.ukAll customers must pay by direct debit.
Collection days and times
Bins are collected at the following times:- Monday to Friday - 7am to 3pm
- Saturday - 7am to 12.30pm.
Bins must be easily reached by our staff and it's up to you to provide proper storage for your containers. You should also return them to your storage area after collection. Please don't leave them on the footpath or in the street.

What can I put in my bin?
Our commercial waste recycling service is for paper and cardboard only.If you put anything else in your bin, we'll be unable to collect it and will place a 'contamination' sticker on it. If this happens, please remove the material from the bin and leave it out for collection again on your next scheduled collection day.
The following items should not be put in your bin:
- glass bottles
- Tetra Pak cartons
- paper napkins, kitchen roll and tissues
- plastic wrapping, plastic bags, plastic cups and bubble wrap
- paper envelopes
- waxed cardboard, including coffee cups
- photographs
- yoghurt pots and margarine tubs
- food waste.
