Behind Closed Doors
North and East Belfast District Policing and Community Safety Partnerships (DPCSP), have launched the Behind Closed Doors campaign to raise awareness about domestic violence in Northern Ireland.
From October 2015 to September 2016 there were over 28,000 domestic abuse incidents in Northern Ireland.
The campaign will appear on bus shelters and billboards in north and south Belfast, and encourages anyone who suspects domestic violence is taking place to report it to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or the PSNI on 101. In an emergency, always call the PSNI on 999.
A 24-hour domestic and sexual violence helpline is available to anyone who has concerns about domestic or sexual violence, now or in the past on 080 8802 1414.
