Concorde Community Centre helps to serve the needs of the surrounding community.
A centre committee, made up of local people and members of the groups which use the centre, work with our community development worker and assistant to develop a varied programme which serves all residents.

Opening hours
Concorde Community Centre is open at the following times:- Monday to Thursday - 9am to 5pm and 6pm to 10pm
- Friday - 9am to 4.30pm and 6pm to 9.30pm.

Facilities
We offer a number of facilities which cater for community groups, youth projects and individual needs.These include:
- computer suite with six state-of-the-art computers
- activity room
- main and minor halls which are available for hire
- a bottle bank.
Grantfinder
This comprehensive database includes details of UK and European Union funding initiatives, ranging from grants and loans to advisory schemes.It features around 2,000 individual reports and is updated on a monthly basis.
It allows users to identify funding programmes which may match the criteria of their projects.
Capacitybuilder.co.uk
This is a UK-wide community website which provides support to the community and voluntary sector.The site is updated daily and features information about all aspects of management, within a community context.
It also has a data request service, statistics about community matters, local information points relevant to your area of interest and an interactive diary for events and training programmes.
Training opportunities
We can organise training on a wide range of topics.These include:
- setting up and developing community groups and constitutions
- child protection training
- play development
- strategic planning.
Hire prices
We have a number of rooms which are available for private birthday parties, public meetings and other functions.If your activity has a community development or cultural focus, our rooms can usually be hired free of charge.
The basic rates (per hour)* for most other events are as follows:
Main hall
- £2.80 (9am to 7pm)
- £4.55 (7pm to 10pm).
Minor hall
- £1.30 (9am to 7pm)
- £1.80 (7pm to 10pm).
Activity room
- £1.05 (9am to 7pm)
- £1.50 (7pm to 10pm).
Kitchen
- 90p (9am to 7pm)
- 90p (7pm to 10pm).
If you are hiring on behalf of a statutory body or profit-making organisation, our rates can increase by up to five times the prices shown above.
Seasonal activities
We organise a number of activities throughout the year.These include:
North Belfast Women’s Initiative Support Group (NBWISP) Annual Health Week
NBWISP works with statutory, voluntary and community organisations to provide information and advice on a wide range of issues during their annual health week.Northern Ireland Children’s Holiday Scheme (NICHS)
NICHS aims to improve community relations by working with young people.Through the scheme, local young people have examined culture and identity, met up with other communities and enjoyed a wide variety of activities.
Christmas and Halloween
We also organise community development programmes and hold Halloween and Christmas dinners for older people in the area.More details are available by calling 028 9071 2450.

- Concorde After-School Group (for primary 1, 2 and 3 pupils) – 2pm to 3.10pm

- Concorde Youth Group (NICHS project) – 6.30pm to 8.30pm
- Utopia dance group (for adults) - 6pm to 7.30pm.
Wednesday

- Concorde After-School Group (for primary 4 and 5 pupils) – 2.30pm to 3.40pm

- Upper Ardoyne Community Partnership (UACP) nail and beauty course - 8pm to 10pm
- UACP Upper Ardoyne Youth Forum youth leadership course – 8pm to 10pm.
Thursday
