Divis Community Centre
Divis Community Centre is a busy centre located in the heart of west Belfast. It is well used by the community and is a popular meeting place for all age groups. As well as providing a range of activities and facilities, the centre has rooms available for hire to local groups and organisations.Opening hours
Divis Community Centre is open at the following times:- Monday to Thursday - 9am to 5pm and 6pm to 10pm
- Friday - 9.30am to 4.30pm and 6pm to 9.30pm.
Facilities
The following facilities are available at Divis Community Centre:- main hall
- minor hall
- committee room
- activity/project room
- access for disabled users
- small car park
- a bottle bank.

For example, in February 2011, Jigsaw NI - an organisation which works with adults with varying disabilities - and artist Shauna McCann worked with local participants to create a mural which shows the activities on offer within the centre. And, in June 2011, children from after schools groups in Divis and nearby Morton Community Centre teamed up to take part in a play which explored the idea of 'difference' via drama, artwork and storytelling.
Training opportunities
We can help organise training on a wide range of topics, including:- setting up and developing community groups and constitutions
- child protection training
- play development
- programme development.
Hire prices
The centre is available to hire for private birthday parties, exhibitions, meetings, conferences and other functions.If your activity has a community development or cultural focus, our facilities can usually be hired for free. Please note that, if you are hiring on behalf of a statutory body or profit-making organisation, our rates can increase. The following rates are per hour:
