Support for Travellers

The centre also offers after-school activities for Travellers.

It includes a range of resources including professional play staff and new equipment.

The facility, a partnership between the council, the Department of Social Development, the Big Lottery Fund and Travellers' support group An Munia Tober, tackles many of the difficulties experienced by young children from the Travelling community.

These include: The project also includes an outreach office which provides ongoing support to Travellers.
