Horn Drive Community Centre is a busy centre located in the heart of west Belfast. It’s well used by the community and is a popular meeting place for all age groups. As well as providing a range of activities and facilities, the centre has rooms available for hire to local groups and organisations. If you’re interested in volunteering at Horn Drive Community Centre, please call into the centre and ask to speak to a member of staff.

Opening hours

We are open at the following times:
  • Monday 9am - 5pm and 7pm - 11pm
  • Tuesday 9am - 5pm and 7pm - 11pm
  • Wednesday 9am - 5pm and 6pm - 11pm
  • Thursday 9am - 5pm and 7pm - 11pm
  • Friday 9am - 4.30pm and 7pm - 10.30pm

Facilities

We offer the following facilities for hire:
  • main hall
  • minor hall
  • committee room
  • activity/project room
  • access for disabled users
  • a bottle bank.
We run special projects, seasonal events and a summer scheme for primary school children in July each year. We also organise seasonal activities throughout the year, including a summer /winter scheme for over 50s.

Other groups who use our centre include Stephen Hartley Down Syndrome Group, Kids Together, Daisy project, Surestart, An Munia Tober, Oliver Plunkett Football Club, Men’s Group and Lenadoon Community Forum.

Training opportunities

We can help organise training on a wide range of topics, including:
  • setting up and development community groups and constitutions
  • child protection training
  • play development
  • programme development

Hire prices

The centre is available to hire for private birthday parties, exhibitions, meetings, conferences and other functions. Contact any member of staff for hire rates.

If your activity has a community development or cultural focus, our facilities can usually be hired for free. Please note that, if you are hiring on behalf of a statutory body or profit-making organisation, our rates can increase.
