Ligoniel Community Centre
Ligoniel Community Centre provides a wide range of services to the surrounding community. A centre committee, made up of local residents and members of the various groups which use the centre, work with our staff to develop a varied programme which serves everyone.
Opening hours
- Monday - Thursday - 9am to 5pm and 6pm to 10pm
- Friday - 9am to 4.30pm and 6pm to 9.30pm.
Facilities
We offer the following facilities:- main hall
- minor hall
- committee room
- access for disabled users
- large car park
- a bottle and clothing bank.
If your activity has a community development or cultural focus, our facilities can usually be hired for free. The basic rates (per hour) for most other events are.

Tuesday

- Senior Citizens’ Club – 10.30am to 12pm
- After-Schools Club - 3pm to 4.15pm
- Kickboxing Club** – 6pm to 8pm
- Adult fitness class** - 8pm to 9pm.
Wednesday
- SureStart Terrific Twos* - 9.30am to 12.30pm
- Boccia for seniors - 10.30am to 12pm
- SureStart Storytelling* - 2.15pm to 3pm
- Soccer coaching (for children)** - 6pm to 7pm
- Irish dancing** – 6pm to 8.30pm
- Karate Club** - 7pm to 9pm.
Thursday
- SureStart Terrific Twos* - 9.30am to 12.30pm
- Parents and toddler group – 10am to 12.30pm
- Learning disabled group - 12.30pm to 2.30pm (not open to the public)
- After-Schools Club - 3pm to 4.15pm
- Kickboxing Club** – 6pm to 8pm.
Friday
- SureStart Training* - 9.30am to 12.30pm
- Art class for adults - 10.30am to 12.30pm
- Irish dancing** – 6pm to 8.30pm
- Karate Club**– 7pm to 9pm.
** come along to a session if you wish to join (a membership fee may apply).
Please note we also run special projects, seasonal events and a summer scheme for primary school children in July each year.
Training opportunities
We can help organise training sessions on a wide range of topics, including:- setting up and developing community groups and constitutions
- child protection
- play development
- strategic planning.
