Suffolk Community Centre
Suffolk Community Centre is located in the heart of the Suffolk area of west Belfast and offers a range of activities and facilities for the local community.
Opening hours
We are open at the following times:- Monday to Thursday - 9am to 5pm and 6.30pm to 10.30pm
- Friday - 9am to 4.30pm and 6.30pm to 10pm.
Facilities
We offer the following facilities for use by the public:
- large main hall
- minor hall
- kitchen
- meeting room
- craft room
- a bottle bank.
Centre programme
We offer a wide range of classes.Monday
- Suffolk Residents' Association - 10am to 1pm
- adult learning and crèche facilities - 10am to 12pm
- after-school club - 3pm to 4.30pm
- Upper Falls Protestant Boys' Flute Band - 6.30pm to 9.30pm
- Upper Falls Ulster Scots Society - 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
Tuesday
- Suffolk Residents' Association - 10am to 1pm
- Rainbow Club (baby and toddler group) - 10am to 1pm
- after-school club - 3pm to 4.30pm
- bingo - 7pm to 10pm
- adult learning - 7pm to 9pm.
Wednesday
- Suffolk Residents' Association - 10am to 1pm
- Rainbow Club (baby and toddler group) - 10am to 1pm
- crafts - 10am to 12pm
- Healthy Lunch Club - 12pm to 2pm
- Happy Hour (senior citizens' group) - 2pm to 4pm
- after-school club - 3pm to 4.30pm
- Highland dancing - 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
Thursday
- Rainbow Club (baby and toddler group) - 10am to 1pm
- advice worker - 10.30am to 12.30pm
- baby clinic - 11am to 12pm (every second Thursday)
- after-school club - 3pm to 4.30pm
- highland dance - 6.30pm to 9.30pm
- ladies' social development group - 7pm to 10.30pm.
Friday
- Movie Club - 2.20pm to 4.30pm
- freestyle dance class - 7pm to 8pm.
We also run a summer and Easter scheme, as well as seasonal activities for Halloween.
The centre committee also organise bus trips several times throughout the year.
