Community safety

One of our main objectives is to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour. To do this we work with statutory agencies and communities to help improve safety in their local areas. Some of our key partners include the Belfast Policing and Community Safety Partnership and the Department of Justice NI.

The Community Safety Strategy for Northern Ireland

The Department of Justice have launched their new Community Safety Strategy for Northern Ireland (2012 - 2017). The strategy, entitled 'Building safer, shared and confident communities' will guide our own community safety work, as well as the work of the Belfast Policing and Community Safety Partnership. Find out more on the Department of Justice NI website.

Belfast Policing and Community Safety Partnership

Belfast District Policing Partnership has merged with Belfast Community Safety Partnership to establish the new Belfast 'Policing and Community Safety Partnership'.
