This award is aimed at young people who have worked towards improving good relations in their community.
Winner: Respect Youth
This group of young women rehearsed for six months to produce a play about youth issues. They performed this on stage at the Baby Grand.Following this they completed OCN Level One and Two in Peer Education, allowing them to mentor other young people in their community.
In recognition of their work, they were given a community grant of £500 which they could spend on their own project or donate to a worthwhile cause. In a selfless gesture, they decided to donate the money to the Simon Community Hostel in North Belfast.
