The purchase of goods or services worth more than £35 from a trader in your home is regulated by the Cancellation of Contracts Made in the Consumer’s Home or Place of Work Regulations 2008.They state that you have a seven-day 'cooling-off' period in which you can cancel your contract.
They also recommend that you get written notice of your right to cancel the contract, and ask for a cancellation form.
