We help fund the centre which has picked up several awards for its innovative design and its use of state-of-the-art technology to help residents and visitors explore Belfast and beyond.

Destination Belfast

Destination Belfast aims to drive the competitiveness of our local hospitality and service sector through skills development and to make sure local businesses benefit as much as possible from investment in the city’s infrastructure, as well as from major events and our annual cultural festivals.

Major events

We work hard to attract major sporting and music events to the city and are responsible for the planning and delivery of a range of annual major events such as the Christmas Lights, Halloween, Maritime and St Patricks Day as well as major one-off events such as MTV EMA’s, World Police and Fire Games 2013, Giro d’Italia in 2014 and the return of the Tall Ships in 2015. We work closely with partners, volunteers and casual staff to ensure the successful delivery of these events.
