HomeBus service to Roselawn Cemetery and City of Belfast Crematorium
We run a free bus service for older people travelling to and from Roselawn Cemetery and City of Belfast Crematorium.
It is available on Tuesdays and Fridays from various locations around Belfast.
On arrival at Roselawn Cemetery, our staff will meet the bus and can help passengers find their loved one's grave or memorial tree.
After the bus has returned to pick you up, it stops at City of Belfast Crematorium where toilet facilities and refreshments are available.
Where does the bus leave from?
The Tuesday bus service works on a rotational basis, departing from north, east, south and west Belfast in turn, at 9.45am.This means it departs from north Belfast on the first week of each month, from east Belfast on the second week, from south Belfast on the third week and from west Belfast on the last week. The Friday service leaves from Donegall Square South (outside HSBC bank) in Belfast city centre at 2pm. There is also a return bus which leaves the cemetery at 12 noon on Tuesdays and 4pm on Fridays and drops passengers off at their original pick-up point at around 12.30pm (Tuesdays) and 4.30pm (Fridays).
Who can use the bus service?
The service is free to residents living within the council's electoral area.The bus seats 15 people on a first-come, first-served basis. It can also accommodate wheelchair users, if you inform us when booking your place.

To book a place on the bus, or for more information, call Beverly Smith on 028 9027 0296.To help us plan our route, please tell us, when booking your place on the bus, the number of the family grave or memorial tree you want to visit.
If you do not have this information, our staff can help locate it if you provide them with the name of the deceased person and their date of death.
