Memorial stone books
Memorial stone books have been erected in the Garden of Remembrance at the City of Belfast Crematorium and Shankill GraveyardEach memorial book is made of granite, is free-standing and comes with a handcarved cord and tassle.
There are 208 individually numbered tablets on each book. You can purchase a tablet and have the wording of your choice, up to 75 characters, engraved on it. Motifs or photographs are not allowed.
Location
The Garden of Remembrance is located directly behind the main crematorium building and is accessible to everyone.You can either buy an engraved tablet, or purchase a tablet and arrange to have your loved one's cremated remains scattered or buried in the Garden of Remembrance
To help keep the garden tidy, flowers, ornaments, bowls, toys or pictures are not allowed on or around the memorial stone books. Any items will be removed immediately.
The second memorial stone book is located in Shankill Graveyard, in a special landscaped portion of the cemetery. It includes an area of grass where cremated remains can be scattered and is accessible by everyone.

To buy a tablet or to arrange to have cremated remains buried or scattered at the crematorium or scattered at Shankill Graveyard, call the Cemeteries and Crematorium Central Office on 028 9027 0296.You cannot scatter or bury cremated remains at either site without prior booking.
