What is the Festivals Forum?

The Belfast Festivals Forum is a proactive and voluntary collective of festival organisers and agencies that work together to build on the existing strengths of our festivals.

The forum is developing a coordinated approach to the planning, programming, promotion and management of festival activity across Belfast by sharing and presenting ideas, skills training, marketing incentives and grants, and coordinating a festival events calendar.

We are committed to addressing the continuing development of our festivals. Belfast's festival offer is listed as a strength in our Cultural Framework.

Festivals Calendar

Belfast truly is a city of festivals, staging the equivalent of at least one festival for every week in the year. Festivals are part of Belfast's cultural life blood, while also generating substantial social and economic benefits for our city.

Major festivals attract visitors here from all over the world, while the many community festivals celebrate and boost local communities, providing a catalyst for social interaction, cross-community participation and shared enjoyment.
