What is the Festivals Forum?
We are committed to addressing the continuing development of our festivals. The Festivals Forum is a proactive collective of festival organisers and agencies that are working together to build on the existing strengths of our festivals.It is developing a coordinated approach to the planning, programming, promotion and managing of festival activity across Belfast by sharing and presenting ideas, helping to develop event programming, marketing and skills training and coordinating a festival events calendar.
Festivals Calendar
We have compiled a Festivals Calendar which is a unique reference source for festival organisers and people interested in attending festivals in Belfast. It demonstrates the range and variety of community, national and international festivals taking place in Belfast all year round.There are still enormous opportunities for the development, promotion and ultimately our enjoyment of festivals in Belfast and we want the Festivals Calendar to be as inclusive as possible.

Belfast truly is a city of festivals, staging the equivalent of a festival for nearly every week in the year. Festivals are part of the life blood of culture in Belfast, while also generating substantial social and economic benefits for our city.Major festivals attract visitors here from all over the world, while the many community festivals celebrate and boost local communities, providing a catalyst for social interaction, cross community participation and shared enjoyment!
