We are involved in many public art projects throughout Belfast:- Brighter Belfast
Brighter Belfast is our campaign to make the city a cleaner and more attractive place. To help achieve this, artists are currently working with community groups to create new permanent public art pieces for five key locations across Belfast.
- Art for Arterial Routes
Our Art for Arterial Routes project has improved many areas of Belfast with public art, helping to regenerate the city.
- Re-Imaging Communities Project
The Re-Imaging Communities Project aims to transform communities by improving their environment and reflect the positive changes in Belfast.
- Renewing the Routes
The Renewing the Routes Initiative aims to tackle problems of economic, social, physical and environmental decline of the main roads in Belfast.
Broadway Roundabout
A new public art sculpture, 'Rise', will be built at Broadway Roundabout, one of the main gateways to the city. The sculpture, by Wolfgang Buttress, will be the biggest public art sculpture in Belfast.The globe shaped white and silver aluminium sculpture - a representation of a new sun rising to celebrate a new chapter in the history of Belfast - will be visible from several miles away when it is constructed in 2009.
The sculpture will be funded by Belfast City Council, the Department for Social Development and the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
