Disability Strategy

The Disability Strategy is our main policy on disability and access issues affecting the council. It covers a range of areas, including:

• the accessibility of council venues and services - more information about disabled access at some of our buildings is contained within our quick guide to disabled access for council venues
• how we're developing staff training to provide good customer service that meets the needs of customers and staff with disabilities
• provision of written material in more accessible formats, such as Braille, audio (tape or CD) and DAISY
• what we're doing to make our website more accessible to all users - our website accessibility statement explains our commitment to this.
