Talk: 'A Serious Menace to the Public Health of the City’ – Spanish Influenza in Belfast, Dr Patricia Marsh
Influenza was responsible for at least 1,830 deaths in Belfast during 1918 and 1919 and caused much disruption in the city. Dr Marsh will explore the impact of influenza on Belfast and its residents and the steps taken by both the Corporation and board of guardians to aid citizens during this major health crisis in the city.
