The 39th annual Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon is cancelled.

Belfast is one of the leading marathons in the UK and Ireland and is an AIMS certified race and qualifying event for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group Rankings.

Around 20,000 participants are expected to take part in 2020, in the largest single participatory sporting event in Northern Ireland. There are events to suit all levels of fitness from the Marathon, two to five person Team Relay (leg distances 4.2-6.8 miles), 8 Mile Walk   and Fun Run (approximately three miles).

The race will begin at 9am on Prince of Wales Avenue, Stormont Estate and will finish in Ormeau Park. The Fun Run will start and finish in Stormont Estate.

The event will be working closely with their Official Charity Partner – Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. Participants are encouraged to #MakeItCount and run, walk or wheel for team Cancer Focus NI in 2020 to help more people survive from cancer.

Entries are open at Belfast City Marathon online registration station. Final entry deadline is midnight on Friday 10 April 2020.
