Christmas lights switch on

Join the Lord Mayor, Alderman Brian Kingston, alongside the Cool FM Breakfast crew, Lily of Lily’s Driftwood Bay, The Clangers' Tiny and Small and Springfield Primary School choir as we start the festive season with our annual Christmas lights switch on.
It will take place on Saturday 19 November, from 6.30pm to 7.15pm in front of City Hall, a great way for families to begin the festive season.
This is a free, ticketed event. Tickets will be available from the Visit Belfast Welcome Centre on Thursday 3 November at 9.30am. Tickets are restricted to four per person. If you have any specific access or viewing requirements please advise at time of booking. Tickets booked can only be collected from 2pm on Friday 4 November.
The award-winning Belfast Christmas Market will also be making a return to the city. It'll open its doors at 12 noon on Saturday 19 November and will stay until 8pm on Thursday 22 December, with a unique offering of local and continental tasty food, sweet treats, wonderful gifts and crafts.
Don’t forget to post your Christmas wishes to the North Pole via our postbox beside Santa's grotto inside the market. Each child who posts their letter before 19 December will receive an individual response from Santa himself.
