Belfast Christmas Market

Time: Monday – Wednesday 10am – 8pm, Thursday – Saturday 10am -10pm, Sunday 12noon – 6pm. Please note that the Christmas Market will close at 6pm on Saturday 23 December.
Venue: Belfast City Hall grounds and Donegall Square North
The annual Belfast Christmas Market will return to City Hall on Saturday 18 November with the gates opening at 12 noon. This year’s event will have even more variety for all you Christmas Market lovers to choose from, including a new spacious eating area where you can sit, relax and enjoy the tasty delights that the market has to offer.
The Market fun starts outside the gates of City Hall, on Donegall Square North, with 20 traders offering a range of high quality goods from their hand-crafted chalets.
Inside the gates visitors will find an exciting selection of hand-painted pottery, continental food, fancy festive decorations, and a wide range of festive arts and crafts from across Europe and beyond.
Don’t forget about Santa’s Grotto which will be open:

And if you post Santa a letter in his post box (in the grounds of the Belfast Christmas Market) by Tuesday 19 December, you’ll receive a letter back from him.
The Buddy Scheme is about promoting accessibility for all who visit the Belfast Christmas Market.
Individuals with additional accessibility requirements are encouraged to attend the market, with or without a buddy, during a quieter time of day (usually from 10am -12 noon, Monday – Wednesday). Free tours of the market can be provided (booking in advance is required).

Market Place Europe offer a limited number of free school tours for primary school children. The tours are booked in advance and due to their popularity and high demand we will be operating a first come, first served system.
Tours run daily Monday – Friday, from 11am – 4pm, to make a booking please email firstname.lastname@example.org
All tours include a guided walk around the market where pupils will learn about the language, food and cultural backgrounds of each of our traders. They’ll also be given an opportunity to sample some tasty food products along the way!
