Proposed temporary pitch provision at Stranmillis Embankment: information session
Date: 9 Jan 2018
Time: 4pm – 7.30pm
Venue: St Bartholomew’s Church of Ireland, 183 Stranmillis Road, Belfast
We are holding a drop-in information session on Tuesday 9 January 2018 in St Bartholomew’s Church of Ireland, Belfast, to hear your views on the proposed temporary pitch provision at Stranmillis Embankment.
We have been approached by a Gaelic Club requesting that the council temporarily erect gaelic posts on land at the bottom of Botanic Gardens adjacent to the Stranmillis Embankment. The purpose of this is to compensate for the loss of facilities during work at Cherryvale Playing Fields.
It is anticipated that the temporary period would run until September 2018 which is the end of the main gaelic season and that the temporary facility would be used to accommodate junior use at weekends, subject to ground conditions.
We would like to hear any views or concerns you may have and invite you to come along to our drop-in information session. The session will provide you with an opportunity to discuss your views on the proposal.
