According to statistics, there has been a drop in the number of migrant workers coming to Northern Ireland.
According to official immigration figures, the final three months of 2008 saw 29,000 applications to work in Britain from Accession 8 migrant workers - this is down from 53,000 for the same period in 2007 and from 63,000 in 2006.
