Is it necessary to have a religious service with a cremation?
No, it is not obligatory to have a religious service. Although this is an option for cremations at the City of Belfast Crematorium, you can also choose to have a civil ceremony or no ceremony at all.
The crematorium caters for all beliefs and non-beliefs in our non-denominational funeral church.
We also have experience arranging cremations for those from the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist and Chinese communities.
Our staff can help you to plan the service of your choice - call us on 028 9044 8342 or email crematorium@belfastcity.gov.uk
