Good relations partnership

We recognise that we can't bring about change in society on our own. We need to work with other bodies to address wider issues and examine those which cause division and exclusion.

Membership of the Good Relations Partnership is made up of 22 members - 17 of the members have been nominated by us as well as various other organisations.

Five of the positions have been filled using a selection process:

Four representatives from the voluntary and community group sector
One representative from the minority ethnic group sector.

The panel discusses some of the more sensitive issues of council business, such as the celebration of festivals, the flags and symbols of City Hall and racism and sectarianism in the city. As a group, they make recommendations to the main committee of the council, which considers actions to take.
