PEACE III programme

We have been awarded £6.3 million under priority 1.1 of the EU PEACE III Programme, managed by the Special EU Programme Body. Phase one of PEACE III supports peace and reconciliation and runs from 2008 to June 2011.

Our Peace and Reconciliation Action Plan supports programmes and projects which are working to create shared space and create positive relations in Belfast. .

Good Relations Partnership

We have created a Good Relations Partnership whose members are responsible for managing and administering the funding.

Allocation of EU PEACE III funds

We have set up a Good relations Partnership which will be responsible for allocating funding from the Peace Plan to a range of groups and organisations in Belfast.

The four main themes for funding are:

• shared city space
• transforming contested space
• shared cultural space
• shared organisational space
