And so, to bed. Or in my case just to chill out away from the others sometimes. Is your room as untidy as mine? “A place for everything and everything in its place”. I don’t think I live by this rule but I know that I should because a tidy home can be a safer home.

Some hazards in the bedroom are:

• Hair straighteners (I have removed words here) don’t work for me, but that doesn’t stop me trying! They are so hot they could set my room on fire, let alone burn anyone who touches them. Unplug them and put them away every time you use them, immediately! Otherwise you will walk out and leave them, with awful consequences.
  
• Clothes are also a tripping hazard, not to mention the straighteners too.
  
• A wardrobe will never close with all the clothes bulging out of it and fingers may be trapped trying to force it closed.
  
• My books on the book shelves are very precarious, that means about to fall down on us and they need to be stacked properly with heavy book ends to keep them securely in place.
  
• But look at that wide open window! We don’t need that much fresh air and drawers below are like a climbing frame up to the window too. A catch should be put on the window to stop it opening out so far. We don’t want anyone to fall out of the window.
