The city has so much to offer, with numerous global brands including Citi, Fujitsu, Liberty IT, Bombardier and New York Stock Exchange already established and growing in the city, new investors will be in good company.
And it is not just economic development that is flourishing. Public and private partners are working together on a series of exciting developments and events which will bring new life to the city in the coming years. 2012 presents a unique opportunity for Belfast. It will see the fruition of significant capital investment projects including the £97 million Titanic Belfast and the £19 million Metropolitan Arts Centre. It will also be a time to celebrate London's hosting of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The city of Belfast is in on the act and will play host to a range of community-based and international events as part of the Cultural Olympiad Festival.
In addition to the 55 festivals that take place in Belfast annually, it really does look like being a year of celebrations. And it doesn't stop there. Belfast is to welcome the World Police and Fire Games to the city in 2013, the first time that this event has taken place in the UK. Over 65 sporting events will take place in the city, with more than 10,000 competitors coming from all across the world to take part over a 10 day period.
