There are two full-time and two part-time temporary vacancies but permanent and other temporary, full-time and part-time posts may be filled from a reserve list. The initial vacancies are as follows:
1 full-time temporary post (37 hours per week) (Monday to Friday) until 31 March 2013, subject to review;
1 full-time temporary post (37 hours per week) (Monday to Friday) until 31 August 2012, subject to review;
1 part-time temporary post (15 hours per week from 1 April – 30 September and 11 hours per week from 1 October – 31 March) (annualised hours, working weekends) until 31 March 2013, subject to review; and
1 part-time temporary posts (15 hours per week) (non-annualised hours, working weekends) until 30 September 2012, subject to review. (Please see the terms and conditions for details of the working patterns for the immediate vacancies).

Belfast City Council also intends to create a reserve list of applicants from this recruitment campaign, in strict order of merit based on performance at interview, from which further vacancies will be filled when they become available. It is anticipated that this list will last for 18 months or until it is exhausted, whichever is the sooner. Posts which become vacant within this time may be offered to those on the reserve list, in order of merit, without further interview. These posts may be either full-time or part-time on a permanent or temporary basis.

Belfast City Council reserves the right to accept applications in the order in which they are received and at this stage only the first 100 applications received will be considered
£12,312 - £13,189 per annum (£236.12 - £252.94 per week) plus weekend enhancement, where appropriate (pro-rata to hours worked for part-time posts)
