What else is planned for the Olympia site?
We are now working on stage two of the project, focusing on the exterior of the site.
The unsightly 'caged walkway' that previously led to the stadium has been removed. We are currently working to create a new tree lined boulevard to replace it. Additionally, we are also working to create a new play space, target zone and 3G pitch.
Olympia playground is currently closed to facilitate the construction of the new 3G pitch, boulevard and play space. The nearest alternative playground is at Nubia Street.
The existing pitch will be unavailable from November 2017 until the new 3G pitch opens in May 2018.
