Do you want to learn how to swim?

Some of our leisure centres offer adult swimming lessons, giving you the chance to learn basic swimming strokes and build your confidence in the pool.

Swim classes for children

Children can learn to swim with Make A Splash, our fun programme which offers swimming lessons for kids at leisure centres across Belfast.

Suitable for children aged five and above, the classes, taught by professional coaches, offer instruction in different swimming strokes and encourage kids to build up their skills as they move from one level to the next.

Prices

Make A Splash swim lessons are free for Boost members. Your child's membership must be valid for the duration of the programme. If you pay monthly (by cash or cheque), you must pay up front for your membership to cover the duration of the swimming course. If your child does not have a Boost card, the eight week programme costs £32.

Payment for swimming lessons must be paid in full at enrolment.

Ability levels

Make A Splash is divided into five levels. Each level is suitable for children aged five or more who are attending primary school, but assessments are carried out at enrolment to check ability.

Please note that class numbers and minimum age restrictions can vary according to which centre you enrol at.
